3. You will meet some of the most wonderful people.

Whether it is online in a chatroom/forum or in your local community, there are some wonderful people involved in this lifestyle. People come from every walk of life. The majority of people I have met are simply interested in having a good time. Since this tends to be off the “mainstream” path, most individuals seem to be less judging than the average person. Enjoying ourselves while being considerate of others is of utmost importance.

These are some of the main reasons why many people get involved with BDSM. It is a lifestyle which allows for a lot of variety. Some elect to restrict it to their sex lives while others make it the primary foundation. Regardless of what you prefer, BDSM offers something for everyone.

Have recently learned of Dennis Najee, author of the blogs  A Master’s Viewpoint Of The BDSM World and BDSM From Around The World (I believe that’s the formal title – but it might also be “BDSM – Spanking Fun – Dennis Najee’s Weblog,” because the blog carries both titles. These links should work fine), and author of the books An Owned Life and Words of Submission.

And – the proprietor – or coproprietor with AKittenOne – of the Ultimate Sex Forum. AKittenOne has her own blog – but it’s invitation-only – so I have little to report as yet.

Mr. Najee has sensible, practical, sexy things to say. Some quite interesting. We’ll be back after we’ve read more.

Check out most – but not all of – his talents at Stark-Arts (Which is to say, he doesn’t seem to be able to play poker and take amazing photographs at the same time). .

She’s beautiful. And she’s very thoughtful. A recent piece, “Caning for Catharsis,” is about, in part, the emotional  which intersections with planes of pain and pleasure. My lame metaphor, not hers. (I’m not sure who “Sarah” is in the piece – but I imagined it to be Sarah Jane Ceylon, who is amazing, clever, and infinitely adorable). This is a blog worth reading.

Phillip Wolf, aka Boymeat, sounds incredibly cool. We’ve got a weakness, we admit, for handcuff collectors. His blog – “The World of A Strange Man” is definitely worth a read. Sexy and funny. Read his account of trying to explain a sex toy airport security personnel.

Even cooler, he’s a New Yorker (Cool for us here, that is). In a recent post he said he was looking for a kink-friendly house-cleaning service – we know lots of kink-friendly lawyers – but no housecleaners. On the other hand – well, I’m really good at housecleaning. Wonder if he’d be willing to trade services for – well, services. Or just education. But maybe private instruction. Did we say that he’s also very photogenic?

And – we just realized – he’s also on FetLife.

Ardenne, who is a pro-Domme at RaptureNYC. Gorgeous. Maybe like a 40’s movie star. And “Rapture” seems appropriate name for a place at which lots of people probably have religious experiences – or their equivalents. From her description of herself:
